Abstract

A topological hysteresis model of a three-phase three-limb core-type transformer is proposed. The influence of the transformer tank wall as a distributed-parameter element is reproduced by solving a diffusion equation that describes the penetration of the electromagnetic wave into the depth of the wall. An EMTP-ATP implementation of the model is outlined. References 9, figures 8.
