Abstract
The article considers the issues of balancing active power in power systems with a significant share of renewable energy sources (RES) and installing battery energy storage systems (BESS). Criteria for determining the power and capacity of storage systems are proposed, considering the power of RES generation, error of RES forecast, and the available reserves of active power on control units. The results of studies are presented for load flow calculation on the example of the target power system. References 7, tables 9, figures 6.
