Abstract
The article presents the results of research the features of net export functions from the point of view on solving the problem of the congestion management on the "day-ahead" market. The properties of net exports functions to consider while the development of methods and algorithms for the calculation of the electricity exchange between price areas are shown. We consider the situation where the graphics of net exports functions of two price areas do not overlap. It is shown that the calculation by method of market coupling and method of market splitting for a given situation lead to different results. The contradiction of pricing logic and the main reasons for these contradictions are shown. A method for the solution of methodological problems that arise when comparing the net export functions is suggested. The conception of developing a computational model for solving problem of congestion management on the "day-ahead" market is given. References 7, figures 4.
