Abstract
We considered the possibility of using the method of optimal filtering for reducing random error measurement due to the impact of broadband noise in the phase-frequency rangefinder systems applying of recent high-pass filter. We proposed and described the algorithm for processing the output voltage of the system, which implements its optimal filtering in the formation of a signal for correcting the frequency which is proportional to the measured distance. We conducted numerical simulation for estimation the random error measurement of distance, for what the appropriate signal models used in computer operations has been developed. We conducted comparative assessment of random errors at using the proposed algorithm of optimal filtering and the method of averaging the results of multiple measurements and evaluated the efficiency of the optimal filter use.
