Abstract
The article is dedicated to the 90th anniversary of Electrotechnical Department of Kharkiv Technological Institute and the unveiling of the memorial to the department founder, distinguished professor Pavlo Petrovych Kopnyaev (1867- 1932), who plays an important role in establishment and formation of Scientific Electrotechnical School and the higher electrotechnical education in Ukraine.
