Abstract

The formula determining the efficiency of three-phase four-wire power system for non-sinusoidal unbalanced mode has been proposed. It is obtained under the specified load power factor, which defined on the supply voltage period, and under the known relation of the short circuit power to the active power of the load. The potential for increasing the efficiency of the power supply system by raising the power factor of the load using a parallel active filter has been considered. Factors limiting the possibility of increasing the efficiency of the power system by means of shunt active filters have been analyzed. References 8, figures 4.
