Abstract

The research method presents the calculations of the amplitude-frequency spectra of the power oscillations within the grid lines. It is shown that within the spectrum of the active power oscillations process along the 750 kV line, there is no dominant harmonic. The monitoring methodology of the grid steady state stability level based on the calculations, using the Fourier transform, of the power oscillations decay coefficient after a small test disturbance of the current state, obtained by the periodic state estimation, is proposed and researched at the real states of the UPS of Ukraine. It is shown that the connecting function of the power oscillations decay coefficient and the stability margin coefficient of the active power of the controlled line is individual for each line and can be used for the on-line monitoring of the grid stability.
